Cranston Volunteer Firefighters League

    In the early 1960s the City of Cranston still had four active  volunteer fire companies: Fiskeville, Meshanticut, Oak Lawn, and Pawtuxet.  On February 25, 1964, the four companies formed the Cranston Volunteer Firefighters League with the intent of promoting cooperation between the member companies, Cranston city government, and the Cranston Fire Department.   …
